Believe it or not my favorite Deep Purple album is "Bananas", I loved the "bar band" vibe of that album.

it's not on Spotify, they should be ashamed.

I keep forgetting about that album. Although I do have some of the Morse albums.

I would say Machine Head is tops for me. I just bought Perfect Strangers on vinyl but have not listened yet. Back in the day I thought Come Taste The Band was pretty darn good despite the funky interludes which I hated. Without those funky parts it might have give MH a good run. At least for me.

Machine Head is my favorite as is for most people I'd say but In Rock gives MH a vicious fight...

It's a hard verdict for me, but I think I'll root for MH. I love most of what DP did, they are one of the essential 70s bands, way up there.

Then maybe PS for me .
Why ? Because those are the albums I enjoy the most. Simple as that.

That one is an underrated gem of an album.
You know, I think, that most of their underrated works is "The Battle Rages On" and "Slaves and Masters" (btw, hate, when someone calls it Deep Rainbow!). But in my opinion both of them are great!

Good call. I even liked the song 'The Spanish Archer' from House of Blue Light album, a gorgious song so so underrated..!

Got 'em all through Rapture (minus Bananas), didn't realize there was much love for these later titles.
