Last night on "Jeopardy",they featured a category about popular acts that are not in the Hall of Fame and Motorhead was one of the correct responses.Do they belong in the hall?...now that KISS,Alice Cooper,Chicago and Moody Blues have all FINALLY been inducted in recent years, who else do you think belongs in the hall that has been overlooked...do the Monkees have a rightful place of enshrinement there?...

on the topic of the Monkees, if I am not mistaken, there was a period of I think 2 years (67-68 maybe) where they outsold The Beatles. No small feat. I'm not saying they deserve induction, but I could easily shred the list of inductees that are less deserving than the Monkees. Album sales aren't the be-all-end-all (outside of maybe Bon Jovi's undeserving induction this year)... one thing I do not know about the Monkees is how influential or groundbreaking they were, if at all.

As for Motorhead, even though I'm not a fan, i'd say that they are deserving as they are constantly referred to by older metal/hard rock artists as well as newer ones as being an influence. Add to it their longevity, yeah, they are probably deserving.

Motorhead were superb They always gave everything on stage and made many fine albums They got better after Clark left .Phil Campbell is an excellent guitarist
We saw them at Sheffield uni with Robertson and even though they audience didn't like the new line up the band were very good . We saw them many times
I dont think lemmy would give a damn about the hall of fame So out of respect I feel that they are better not in there
Personally I think motorhead are excellent

For argument's sake, yes, Motörhead absolutely belong in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, more so than a lot of band's that are already. However, honestly, I couldn't care less about whether they get inducted, anyone else who might get there/deserve to be there or who is already there. The whole thing is a joke and people pay way too much attention to it.
