I listen to everything excluding trap, dubstep, disco, the likes, aka garbage. But rock, metal, and blues are my go-to.

My favorite rock genres are psychedelic, folk, and hard rock.

My favorite metal genres are power, speed, and thrash.

My favorite band is Pink Floyd.

I'm officially all over the map.
Not a lot of metal these days for me though.
Not that I don't love it but I'm in a much more ambient, background, mind funk, vibe music frame.
Metal just doesn't sit back there and mingle.
It's at the podium. Full attention at all times.

I love long jams while shooting the shit and imbibing.
A big cloud of psychic, musical, spiritual envelopment.

I'm listening to almost all genres and styles. It's all about mood, where, when and why. What I don't like is experimental music, modern jazz, new composed classical and that stuff and then I like if the artists are able to play their instruments without help from a bazillion bits and pieces of electrononic equipment, also I like if they can sing instead of "speaking it out".

I listen to everything that sounds good. I think slicing and dicing music into "genres" is a bullshit exercise, something that radio station suits do to destroy the music industry.

I love how you summed it up, but I'm not sure who's to blame. Everybody likes different music; some agree and don't agree on just about everything.

Basically, I'm into Heavy Metal Rock; including 'Classic'; & that will never change!

Depends on mood
Classic rock
Jazz and its derivations
Prog ( not twiddly elp style)
Krautrock and its derivations
Stoned out stuff like electric octopus.
I like endless improvised instrumental jam's. There's so many very talented young bands playing this stuff
Heavy rock like sabbath and motorhead budgie.

Classic Rock (of course)
Pretty much anything from the 70s including pop, easy listening, folk rock, and some proggy stuff like Camel
Most music from the 80s: rock, hair metal, pop, new wave, dark wave, ska, some punk
A smidgen of stuff from the 21st century: Killers, Radiohead, Green Day, Coldplay, and maybe a few others

I'm not sure I have a favorite genre. But my 3 favorite bands are The Mark Almond Band, Alan Parsons Project, and The Chameleons.
