Superb album. My favourite traffic album is on the road. I've got the American import CD which is far superior sound to the very flat sounding UK release
Traffic were truly outstanding when they played their long spaced out jazz rock tracks with the dreamy Chris Woods on amplified sax. Very similar to xhol Low spark is a nice album

Re: Traffic ~ The Low Spark Of High Heeled Boys

mediocre album. far below john barleycorn must die. but the title track has a great jam that may have inspired war's "the world is a ghetto"

I enjoy it.
It's less "folk" than JBMD. More psychodelic.
More like shootout.

Love the War reference.
I listened to The World is A Ghetto on my ride into work this morning coincidentally.
I've been digging the War / Santana brand of tunes lately.
We listened to Santana live from 1970 at camp the other night by the fire and it was perfect for the occasion. Beers and shooting the shit with that in the background was nice.
It got me off on a kick.

@Vader great come back lol.. @BikerDude firstly respect on your reply I agree with most of it but imho this is a great album worthy of "JBMD" totally is an awesome group!!!!:grinthumb

Both are great.
