Yes, why not?

Because in a thread asking for band that sounds like X when someone writes that "Y sounds good to me" and places a colon after that and a video, then what follows after the colon is taken to be an example of what has just been stated and not a new thought.

No big deal but I thought you had something different you intended to post.

You've lost me.

It's not that important but if I write "the Rolling Stones are a good example of this:" and then follow that colon with a clip from the Beatles, it's odd for what I think are obvious reasons.

I'm thinking that what comes after the colon is an example of what you described before it (as is customary). So that's why I assumed you meant to send something else.

Jimmy Bain’s post Rainbow band, formed with ex Thin Lizzy guitarist Brian Robertson, Wild Horses, were pretty good.

This is Doogie White (last singer for Rainbow) with a band called Kruk, who have amongst their own numbers included some Deep Purple covers (eg Lazy).

Found this band about a month ago. Saffire from Sweden. Released three albums. I've only heard 'Where The Monsters Dwell' from this year. This is the best replica I've heard from the Dio/Rainbow era. Excellent.

Thanks for the post. I enjoyed the band and will look into them some more. So far I think they are less Rainbow sounding than some of the other bands in this thread but still well worth a listen and I'll check out their albums.

Any other bands you might recommend (they don't have to be exactly like Rainbow either for that matter)?

Cheers!
