I always feel inexplicably grand urge to rank It's a Beautiful Day's eponymous release that includes "White Bird" among the decade's finest works due to its overwhelming definition of 1960's hipster expressionism.Any album that makes every list of best 60's psych albums deserves at least high honorable mention, seeing that soft psychedelic substances were most instrumental both literally and figuratively in the matter of the flower power generation's artistic progressions................

Jimi Hendrix - Axis: Bold As Love
Yes I also rate Axis: Bold As Love as Jimi's best studio album that he released while he was alive.

Are You Experienced was the 'guitar album' but Axis: Bold As Love was the 'song album' with some 'classic' Hendrix songs on it such as Up From The Skies, Spanish Castle Magic, Ain't No Telling, Wait Until Tomorrow, If 6 Was 9, Castles Made Of Sand, One Rainy Wish, Little Wing, Little Miss Lover & Bold As Love.

I read once that it was Noel Redding's favourite Hendrix album as well.

The fish eye lens (Thin Lizzy copied it!), the sinister look on the bands faces... I bought this before I knew why Brian's hand was bandaged!
Quite a deluxe packaging, gatefold clairfoil sleeve, with booklet and a choice of Mono or Stereo 180g vinyl.
