I picked up 5 MSG albums a couple of weeks ago at a swap meet.. One was un-opened..:grinthumb
I like McAuleys vocals more than the others, and Schenker is another top notch shredder..

In my opinion, The Michael Schenker Group were excellent, McAuley Schenker Group a little less so.

As someone else has mentioned, the first three albums were excellent, the first two featured Gary Barden on vocals whilst the third Assault Attack featured ex Rainbow singer Graham Bonnet. Barden returned for Built To Destroy, it had some good moments but was overall weaker than the aforementioned albums.

Had the great pleasure of seeing MSG (Schenker is my all time favourite guitarist) in 1981 supporting their 2nd album and in 1982 on the Assault Attack tour with Barden after Bonnet left or was kicked out.

Saw McAuley Schenker in 1988 supporting Whitesnake too.

I started buying his records and I am most impressed with Assault Attack, especially the title track. As much as I disliked Graham in Rainbow, he fits very well with MSG.

It's funny, the 3 McAuley Schenker albums are missing from the OP list, but the vids are posted.

Re: MSG, smokin !

I was a fan of his band on the early albums especially because Ted McKenna & Chris Glen (both from the Sensational Alex Harvey Band) was the rhythm section

Ted and Chris are present on the new Michael Schenker Fest tour and album, as well as Steve Mann from the McAuley period and four of Michael's lead singers.

All four singers feature on this amazing track. Chris has an almost Lemmy like lead-bass thing happening at times.

I feel like Robin sounds better here than he did in 1992.

The whole album is really good! Everything feels very organic, which is not always the case when you have several singers on an album.

Two of my all time favourite numbers from MSG are Rock My Nights Away & Walk The Stage both from the Built To Destroy album from 1983.

Assault Attack is in fact a 'killer album' even if only MSG fans know about it and Graham Bonnet did a good job on it and sounds great!!.
