With lovers, buggers, & thieves.
There are so many, I'll name the first two I can remember waiting to here on my transistor radio.
1. Down In The Boondocks....... Billie Joe Royal
2. Eve Of Destruction..... Barry McGuire

I remember in the early 70's how most of my listening was on the AM radio in the family car, and WRKO in Boston would play the 7 minute version of it and not the 3 minute version that you regularly heard on other AM stations.

Just too, too many. If i could choose a group instead, it would be much easier, for me anyway. In that case, Beatles, hands down!

Speaking of 60's songs, does anyone here remember a 60's-ish song called "Once Upon A Time" ('that little girl was mine..........')? I'm wondering who sang it. Apparently, it is a very popular song title, after trying to Google it. Still, I could not find the 60's version that was popular, for a while. I first guessed it was The Fortunes, but after checking out their discography, I guess it wasn't them. Thx in advance for any help!

The ONLY decade that I could possibly narrow down a list to just 1 or 2
favorite songs that stand a heads and tails above everything else out there.

Top 2:
* Rolling Stones - Gimme Shelter
* Beatles - I Want You (She's So Heavy)

For me, nothing else even comes close
