(What's The Story) Morning Glory

Massive Oasis fan, seen them a fair few times live. Whereas Radiohead, used to like them, can't really listen to them anymore.

Exactly my thoughts! I still listen to Radiohead's older rock songs like "Black Star" and "Creep", but with "OK Computer" they went downhill fast. "Kid A" is probably my worst purchase ever.

"Morning Glory" on the other hand is a masterpiece, a rare feat where the second album is as great as the debut.

10 out of 10 for user name and avatar

OK Computer is an excellent album but the Bends is my personal favourite. After that, not interested.

I have both albums, and here's the thing - 'OK Computer' is a brilliant artistic statement while 'What's The Story' is a proper piece of rock. Oasis win it for me purely for the listening experience.

Never really liked Oasis, they have to be the most miserable looking scowling bunch who ever took to a stage, took themselves way too seriously, Noel is a great songwriter, but Liam to me is little more than a pub singer and would be nowhere without his brother, whereas Radiohead to me are genuinely innovative and one of a kind, great musicians, and very experimental, and you never know what's coming next with them, not all of their stuff is top drawer, but at least you get the impression that the music to them is paramount, with Oasis I always felt the music was secondary to the retarded bad-boy image they had to put across. Need to download the new Radiohead record actually, so I'd go for OK Computer for sure.

I'll pretty much agree with everything in this post.

If Oasis can patch it together and put out more material...that's another thing but the bickering and posturing they do eclipses the music they put out. Very talented and I do really enjoy both...I prefer Radiohead more. When Pink Floyd stopped being Pink Floyd (sans Roger)...I got into Radiohead. Oasis can write some wonderful songs...they tend to go for more of a Pop sound than anything else. "The Bends" pretty much made me a fan for life.
