Jimmy McCulloch was a Scottish musician and songwriter best known for playing lead guitar in Paul McCartney's Wings from 1974 to 1977. McCulloch was a member of the Glasgow psychedelic band One in a Million (formerly known as The Jaygars), Thunderclap Newman, and Stone the Crows.
On 27 September 1979, McCulloch died of heart failure caused by a heroin overdose at his flat in Maida Vale, North West London. He was 26 years old.

With Thunderclap Newman when he was only 16 years old. He is the little kid you see at about 0:32

Jimmy was a great guitarist...sad he died at such a young age...I was just watching a couple videos of Maggie Bell’s Stone the Crows and McCulloch replaced the deceased guitarist Les Harvey(brother of Alex Harvey...Les was electrocuted onstage in 72). I didn’t realize after Jimmy left Wings in 77 he joined Steve Marriott’s Small Faces where they recorded ‘78 in the Shade

The Thunderclap Newman album is an old favorite of mine. Check out it's epic finale, a song called "Accidents". That's Pete Townshend on bass guitar. He was also the producer of the album. Along with Speedy Keen (singer/drums/writer) and Andy "Thunderclap" Newman (piano), Jimmy McCulloch's excellent guitar work got Townshend's and Paul McCartney's attention.

Particularly listen to Jimmy's lead guitar between the 6 and 7 minute mark

"Accident's" is such a catchy, quirky tune
