They were masters at stringing together one cliche after another to construct a song.
It's a talent..... of some sort.
Each to their own.

Stringing together cliches isn't talent. It's simply appealing to the brainless masses with no taste in music, is all.

My dad used to tell me to stay away from the 80s but it's just a matter of trudging through the ashes and edges...

Speed King- this fan vote has no impact on who actually is voted in. I totally agree with you, though - The Moody Blues should have been in a decade ago, and Judas Priest not long afterward. All that being said, Bon Jovi would have been on my ballot of five...
