I'm gonna go with Tommy. It's a more cohesive concept or Opera, so to speak, where I feel Quadrophenia missed that mark.

However, Jesus Christ Superstar is the BEST stage performed opera....Tommy & The Wall performances sucked.



Another good opera is Drive By Truckers "Southern Rock Opera"

I choose Tommy. I had the pleasure to listen to the live version on Live At Leeds in this release edition:

For me, it's the top of the rock operas.

Very nice Jesus Christ Superstar on this remastered reissue:

However, all those operas of which we are talking are expressions of considerable value of rock music.

Unfortunately, I have never listened to Drive By Truckers: in Italy, it is unknown.
