Does anyone remember the song "Dead Bird" by the band Turboville which was on the 1997 "Readers Jives" CD which came free with Guitarist magazine in the UK...?
The song was so bad that it was good and there was much speculation at the time that rather than being just a duff recording by a bunch of kids who couldn't play, that it was actually deliberately done by established musicians to entertain in a bizarre fashion. I don't know if the truth ever did come out....
I'm such a sad git that I actually have this song on my ipod and it pops up on the playlist from time to time and even after 20 years and many listens I still laugh myself silly every time I hear it.
Here's a youtube link for it for anyone who fancies a laugh....
