One of the absolute finest songs from the early years of Pink Floyd!! I was in 7th grade when I heard this song for the first time, and I wasn't that much into that kind of music at that time, but this song was one of those that grabbed me immediately because of its lyrics and the very intense guitar solo. This song is a treasure in gold IMO!! Thanks for posting bbif!

=VH= demos on Youtube. The unreleased "Light In The Sky" from 1977 is a new one to me.
It's not an early version of "Light Up The Sky", and it doesn't sound like it was ever reworked as another song or parts of it were used on another song. It's just a cool, raw track that has a slower-than-usual tempo for Van Halen.
How bad is the state of rock and roll these days when a 40 year old demo is still better than perhaps everything else?
