I like both but I went with the Moody Blues.

I like both but Whiter Shade of Pale.

I concur that Procol Harum were underrated! I'm not sure many kids today have even heard of them and even those who have heard of them know them from that one song. They were far from being a one hit wonder. A strange mix of catchy pop, blues, soul, classical and even some hard rock.

But the Moody Blues are underrated too I think. For years I thought they were some sort of soft rock like Neil Diamond that only housewive liked but they were musically quite "proggy"

Can't stand Whiter Shade. For the life of me, I can't find the draw to it.

Both songs are waaaay overplayed on FM radio, but I'll take MBs on this one 1000 times out of 1000.

Another vote for "Nights In White Satin" here.

Both songs are way long in the tooth, but I'm more apt to change the radio station if "Whiter Shade Of Pale" were playing.
