Man, Woman or In-Between, we all have had a first love and most likely a song we identified with that event

What was your song from your first love?

Mine: Things were a bit raunchy in 1971.Even for a young teen.

My very first boyfriend was in the 7th grade (1973). His name was Dusty. 7th grade is when we had our first official school dances; the winter ball (which was very formal) and Spring fling. I remember the first dance like it was yesterday. I had a long purple velvet dress and Dusty had a gray polyester suit. I had never slow danced before, but I remember that first awkward slow dance.......it was so dreamy and was to Angie. I think I got my first French kiss at that time ;)

My ex that I am now deep friends with broke up with me when I was 19. I was playing the Lullabies to Paralyze album by Queens of the Stone Age when she faced me after getting out of the car and this track was playing... of course at the time I was only in love with her and was for the next year and never got over her.

She chose to settle down early while I kept chasing her. I was too wild and hazardous, according to her. Very hard time for me, especially when coping with bipolar disorder and not receiving any professional help at the time.

Took up underage drinking as this spiraling turmoil unfolded... am good now.

As for happy love stories, there are too many songs to note. Usually listening to music when I'm with a woman anyway.

Wow...my first steady boyfriend that I loved or thought I did was this song.

But the first guy I truly loved was this song.

Well.... besides thee one that got away, a boydfiend I had for a few short months in 1989-90 is the one I miss the most, but we were just too into partying, and there is no way we were meant to last. God, we had fun though!

This one:

"Ain't Even Done With The Night" John Cougar (1980)
You got your hands... in my back pockets, and Sam Cooke singin' on the radio.

Not my "first love", but definitely my first "true love"... This song always brings back memories of the one that got away.
