One of the reasons that the first album is so cool is that it was produced by Genya (Goldie Zelkowitz) Ravan. Many people don't realize that a good producer makes a major difference in how an album is received.

:)

The remarkable thing about that production was that they were originally recorded as demo's but the band was so pleased with the results that they ended up using that mix for YL&S.

came across a commercial today while watching NFL Football. With the CBCG Movie out it must be "in" now to market with the Dead Boys and Sonic Reducer.

Commercial: SONOS PLAYBAR

They had to "Spotify" the album, obviously they didn't own it when came out on Vinyl

I wish Stiv Bators would have gotten this much attention when he was alive and making music.

Recently listened to their debut and liked it. I'll be getting to their second album later. Another very good late 70's rock band.

I live in Buffalo, NY
Cheetah Chrome & drummer Johnny Blitz are doing a 40th anniversary tour at clubs around the country...From what I heard the shows have been excellent. While there is only one Stiv Bators & no one could replace him the singer they currently have, Jake Hout, does do a great job(once again...there is only one Stiv) they also have Ricky Rat from Detroit area playing bass (he was in the Trash Brats & Kevin K & the Real Kool Kats). they did just release a new cd "Still Snotty Young Loud....& Snotty at 40" which is the current line-up playing the Punk Classic album. I did purchase it & they did a good job on the tunes but do yourself a favor & get that original album. Had the new album been a live performance from one of these 2017 shows it would've been fine but there was no need to go into the studio & rerecord the same tunes from their debut
