Not much update on mine,
Did pick up a set of kenwood 707 to use as fronts from the goodwill,
Blew the sony cones that I was using,
Got ahold of 2 offbrand bass cones that fit the holes of the sony boxes,
Removed the tweets outta the sony boxes for bass ports,
Got them situated firing off the sides behind the kenwoods,
Not bad for runnin off the computer through the aux on the cheepass sharp 100 watter in the mancave,
I keep scanin c list to see what I can find but still can't justify the prices some of these guys want for their stuff,
Not when I got somthin that works,

I'm a firm believer in if it works good and sounds good why replace it. And yes I am a tad frugal. I bought a Panasonic amp, turntable and a pair of BIC Venturi speakers from a Head Shop in Saulte Ste. Marie. Michigan back in the the late 70's. The turntable crapped out in the early 90's and I replaced it with a Onkyo.

1 x *** stereo integrated Amplifier C356BEE, 2 x 80 watt
2 x Jamo floor standing speakers 100 watt
1 x Sony CD-player
1 x Thorens Turnable
1 x HP laptop connected to the amplifier
Instead of a tuner I make use of an internet radio player so I can listen to radiostations from all over the world (They have cut the FM signal here, and me ears just don't like the sound from them flaming small DAB+ radioes)

2 TB albums (MP3)
ca. 300 vinyl albums
ca. 400 cd's
+ tons of cd's I can borrow from the local public library

The cd is dying out here because most people are streaming the music, or buying it from Google Play or Microsoft and so. I use to buy me albums over at Microsoft Groove it's much cheaper to do so here because of some high taxes and bla, bla.

Nice stuff there Frands. Always wanted a ***
amp, but my Marantz has been good (warm tone and musical); had a Thorens table a long time ago--great equipment. Jamos look good but unfamiliar with them (most anything by Klipsch is great tho'); the dimensions of the Jamos remind me of a pair of Vortex Forcefield prototypes that are in the closet right now--monster speakers these are. Been replaced by some KEFs and Morduant Shorts.

Marantz is very good as well. It is a popular brand here as well. Jamo speakers is a Danish brand that started in 1966, but now a part of the Klipsch group.

Sounds good! I love the looks of the 1970's Thorens TT's.

My current setup isn't anything to brag about... it's all old but in really great condition.

Here's the green-eyed lady I have paired up with my Philips 677 turntable. She's a Rotel RX-202 MK II, with 20-watts-per-channel.
A nice modest vintage receiver, got at a modest price.

For a CD player I use a Philips DVD player from 2001 I bought cheap. It will play HDCD's, of which I have a few.

I'm still using the Sony 3-way bookshelf spkrs that I got at the thrift store for 6 bucks. I haven't felt the need
to upgrade them yet, as they sound really good.
