Gotta say Paul is my favorite. His voice goes well with so many different songs. He sounds great with the ballads and more up beat tunes he sings lead.

I love all four of them but Paul McCartney always came out on top just because I think he was the best musician. A fantastic Bassist that really made early Beatles song full of swing and expression but then a simple pianist bringing his natural bass groove into his right hand lead. Could Drum, play guitar and I thought he had the most powerful voice out of the band, songs like Long Tall Sally, Sgt Peppers among others only he could have sang. A fantastic Ballad writer and as they were a pop band, I thought he was the best pop writer. But his love songs were exceedingly fantastic! also a great composer. He was a great all rounder and really worked the rest of them hard to get the best out of their songs.
John. He generally had the best songs and was the most musically ambitious, he had the most interesting voice, and generally lived an interesting life. Overall he probably had the best solo career, although All Things Must Pass is the best Beatle solo album.

It used to be John because I found his work the most interesting.
But I didn't quite realize how screwed up he really was.
Mixed feelings about Paul. A little wimpy sometimes.

I'd say Ringo. Everybody likes Ringo.

With no doubt John for his songs and his life. But If I consider the albums by George, Paul and Ringo, I think that two great beatle solo albums are: All Thing Must Pass by George Harrison and Band On The Run by Paul McCartney and the Wings.
