When finishing my YES collection I held out for this one for the longest time. There were always more titles I needed to get and I knew one day I would find this used.

I have many complete catalogs by many artists and it always feels good to get that LAST one you needed.

This one...was a LONG hold out. :heheh:

I know what you mean, there is great satisfaction getting that last one for the collection of an artist:)

I have a few holy grails as far as CD's go, pictures to follow as I'm on my mobile, great thread by the way S & S:)

Ozric Tentacles - Box set

That Ozrics set is pretty sweet. I love the "Cereal Box" cover, a bit of a nod to the naming of the band.

Very surprised to see these at the record show a few months ago. Snapped them up quickly.

That's a good deal you got man! I can't do the not touching thing myself. I treat them like the rest of my collection and shelve then and use them in there original form. I'm not a collector for profit so even though they are pricier I just try to be careful with them like anything but I've got to use them after waiting so long to do that. :)

Forgot to add the CD itself is apparently out of print so I really did get a good bargain for that rarity on the album. Pity because I think more people should get to experience that album.

That cereal box was withrawn as Kellogs said it looked too much like their boxes, I only got it because I worked at the music shop and snapped it up straight away before they could send it back:woot:

Melancholy Danish Pageboys Get It On - unofficial release 3 album live recording. I came across it and snapped it up when I was a teen, they sell for various amounts now the last I saw, one was £76 the other £146 but you can get it at a much better price. I think condition is the key ?

Yes, condition would be a factor in determining its worth. I have one too that I bought in the early 1990's... Good one Sox.

Nice thread Sooty.

A while back I managed to find a vinyl copy of South African band's 1970 album Time to Suck by Suck. A very rare album, the band was featured in Classic Rock March 2007 in the article "The Lost Pioneers of Heavy Metal". It is an album that I wanted for the longest time :grinthumb
