This is a tricky one, if you think of all age groups up to youngest 30, then it could be quite a few eg Paul McCartney, Ozzie Osborne, Mick Jagger,

But when you consider all age groups up to youngest 18 or even 15 then things get far more interesting, a few of that particular group would not know the above names.

Happened when I bumped into Bruce Springsteen. I know what he looks like, but in person you do not recognize him. He doesn't stand out.

Springsteen is very down to earth. Easy to talk too. ...

Bruce is very down to earth and always mingles with the locals when he's home here in Jersey. Personally though, I would recognize him with no problem. :D

Here he is feeding a parking meter in Red Bank, NJ. :grinthumb

Speaking of mingling with the locals, here's Bruce on the beach in Asbury Park, NJ today.

Paul McCartney probably.

Ozzy, I'm sad to say. Black Sabbath were a phenomenal band, but Ozzy's antics post Ozzy have been mostly depressing.

Mick Jagger of course as well. That wrinkly guy with the huge lips was the lead singer of Hermans Hermits!

In the UK I'd probably say Brian May too. Queen are bigger in the UK than in North America and that hair is unmistakable.

Have to agree with the Paul McCartney, Bruce Springsteen, Ozzy choices, a couple of other thoughts: Steven Tyler and Stevie Wonder, both pretty recognizable.
