I went with stages believe it or not for I've never completely cared for the over production of exit stage left. If this poll would have put for example all the worlds a stage or different stages up against stages then yeah rush would have gotten my vote.

^ Very true.

I think 'All the worlds a stage' is the quintessential Rush Live album. Raw, gritty & with Geddy at his warbly best, shrieking his head off...the same goes for disc 3 from 'Different Stages' :D

As a matter of fact the band itself said looking back that they had too much over production of the album by actually tuning the audience noise down along with mixing the sound of their music which slightly crushed some of the edge. To me atwas and yeah disc 3 of ds caught rush imho at their prime when they were faster, heavier, more raw yet still polished, and much of that epic music from that era. esl again was too polished and what few classics they played on it were chopped down including by tor.

Both of these live albums are fantastic, and with many great songs, too! I'm voting for Exit Stage Left!
I picked that one also as you can hear 3 songs from MOVING PICTURES in analogue on that album and they sound gorgeous! (On 'Moving pictures' every song is digitally mastered and does not sound as good on the record)
