Rush are one of my top three bands! I absolutely love them!

For me, their run of albums from Caress Of Steel through to the criminally overlooked Presto is the best album streak of all time!

Five favourite albums:

A Farewell To Kings
Moving Pictures
Grace Under Pressure
Hold Your Fire
Presto

For me the run of great albums starts with Permanent Waves thru Test for Echo.

I love nearly every song on Presto. I also believe it is a personal favorite of Geddy's. Scars has some of Neil's best drum work. My only issue is the EQ mix of the album, not really much lower end as I think it needs. I may play with it one day on in Protools. :)

Just curious - Has Ginger Baker ever given an opinion Neil Peart?

*Even a cranky one.....LOL

Never seen one. Ginger Baker is one of a kind drummer, but the crankiest bastard alive. If he has an opinion on Neil Peart, it's probably a negative one because Neil's a far superior drummer. I don't think Ginger likes anything or anyone

I mostly like thier 70s stuff.......... I have these records

Rush
Fly by Night
Caress of Steel
2112
A Farewell to Kings
Hemispheres

After much looking I found a KOREAN copy of MOVING PICTURES (1981) that is NOT DIGITALLY MASTERED and sounds quite good.......

I also have Grave under pressure (1984) - Excellent album

Caress of Steel is my favorite Rush album. It never seems to get the credit it deserves. I was so tired of defending it, I wrote a long-winded defense of it on my blog.

I agree, it is a great album. IMO, there hasn't been a bad Rush album, ever. Even Power Windows and Grace Under Pressure each have a beauty of their own.

Indeed, and for me the '75-'81 era of Rush is one of my favorite catalogs of music of any band or artist.

And as for Caress Of Steel, I agree that it is one of the great underrated rock classics.

I just couldn't agree more what a brilliant output. I walked around a Download festival a few years back with a "Caress Of Steel" t-shirt on. I lost count of the number of folk that patted my back or stopped me to praise the album.
