@Sweaty.

You are lucky to have seen them when you did. I doubt they will ever perform together again. I read an article recently where Paul Simon called Art a fool and a few other choice names and said they haven't spoken in a few years.

That is so sad. Childhood friends who made so many great memories together with there beautiful voices.

I agree. These two have been feuding and poking digs at each other since the 70's and can't get past whatever started the feud.

I saw Simon and Garfunkel a few years ago in Sweden, what a night, they brought the Everley Brothers out on stage with them and did Bye Bye Love together. Paul also did some solos stuff too, I do like his solo stuff, in particular, "Still Crazy After All These Years". I remember sitting in a pub and hearing those first few bars, "I met my old lover on the street last night" and it stuck in my mind, what a beautiful song and so well written. I was hooked after that and purchased loads of his solo work.

After I saw them live I went out and got all the remasters of their cd's, I listened to them all over again and again and fell in love for the 2nd time. I even picked up old friends on tour DVD for £12.99 including the cd of the show and an extra unreleased track.

This music takes you to another time and place where everything is calm, so good, everybody should at least have one of their albums.

A couple of great tunes ..

They both really need to sit down and look what they have accomplished together over the decades and say to each other is it worth to tarnish that at the end because of some silly feud.

Honestly, they both are like big babies. When they were inducted into the RnR Hall of Fame, the both insulted each other on stage.......for the whole world to see. It's not an act, these two men actually hate each other.......

But the made beautiful music together!

I wonder if either of them even remembers what started the feud.

They did some great stuff together, but Paul Simon was always the engine room of that relationship. He has done some great stuff on his own, and continues to do so. I can't think of anything particularly outstanding that Garfunkel has done (Bright Eyes anyone? :uh:).

When I saw them live they said they had buried the hatchet, I wondered where they had buried it, they performed very well, I really don't understand why they don't get on. I think that Paul Simon has had a more successful career but together they were something else. I think Art has not done too much on his own and I actually think that he is jealous of Paul.

No one can ever take anything away from them for what they achieved, everyone should own at least a greatest hits collection if not all their albums. I will be picking up the new Paul Simon album, he sure looks old now.
