Saturday was the first one to sell out. It's a bit weird because all the ticket agencies bar Ticketmaster took the tickets off sale ages ago. Last year the demand for tickets was mental, but this year it seemed to slow a bit, then all of a sudden it was harder to get them.

The Piledriver re-issue is released today (24th March) for those interested. Second disc has a famous 1972 concert on it from the Paris Theatre in London.

Just done the third and final night of the bands run at the Hammersmith Apollo. Incredible stuff from start to finish. Hope they don't throw in the towel yet!

This may sound weird, but I think the band is generally underrated by people who are not fans.

I love Status Quo, first and foremost the old stuff of course, but even more recent stuff like "In Search of the Fourth Chord" is great fun!
just like me bro...

I sadly didn't come across there music until recently when I heard the song Pictures Of Matchstick Men. I loved the song which led me to listening to them more.

To be honest I never listened much to 'the Quo' other than listening to there BIG HITS in the years gone by but lately I've been listening a lot to PILEDRIVER and Quo fan's I pleased to say that I'm really enjoying it Big Fat Mama blows me away every time and there cover of the Doors Roadhouse Blues must be the 'definitive version' of that song ever!!. 10/10

Sometimes you need to listen to deeper cuts to get to know and appreciate a band. More than often, I find the big hits misleading, particularly in the case of Status Quo. I hope you take the time to explore some of the band's other early albums. Judging by your enthusiasm for "Piledriver", you won't regret it.

To true SDM that's why I've recently gone down to my local HMV store in London Town (thats in England) and bought virtually the whole of 'Quos' entire back catalogue (Frances Rossi if he's reading this will no doubt be pleased about that) and the only albums of there's that I haven't currently picked up are two or three of there later albums.

E-Z If you're interested in seeing Quo live, I'd highly recommend John Coghlan's Quo who play Frantic Four (70's era) stuff. I see you're in London, they regularly play Half Moon in Putney and I believe 100 Club down Oxford Street in the past as well.
