Nesmith is so overlooked underneath the whole Monkees stigma.As a writer,"Sweet Young Thing" and "Mary,Mary" are more than adequately satisfying to these '60's adoring ears as well as ol' Wool Hat nails some really superb country rock flavored guitar licks.Has anyone mentioned "Louie,Louie" here?A must for any truly comprehensive library of the decade's more revered party hits………
Yes, another terrific penned song by Mike Nesmith.Mike Nesmith also wrote one of my favorite songs from the 60's, Different Drum. Which was a hit for Linda Ronstadt and the Stone Poneys in 1967.
