Digital for me. I'm not an audiophile and these days you can buy digital files that sound better than CD in the first place.

my $.02

Record = Vinyl
CD or CD Single = Compact Disc
Digital File = Digital File

Album, EP, Single and Record have a completely different meaning any of which could be Record CD or digital file

Album - Collection of many songs into a single titled collection
EP - 1 to maybe 4 songs (in 1 titled collection) some possibly released previously
Single - 1 maybe 2 songs in 1 collection

:)

for what its worth

I have always loved the sound of vinyl. It's what I listened to growing up until I started to buy a lot of cassette tapes in the 80's, which had terrible sound. Then CDs came out and the sound was phenomenal. But I was still listening to my sister's old albums as well as cds.

I at this time go with CD's but there isn't really debate against the fact Vinyl just has the best quality. CD's have good quality though and I enjoy them but can't wait to get my record player. There is no digital file in my experience that sounds better than physical format.

Nothing sounds nearly as good as a good vinyl disc through a good system (other than an actual live performance). That said, the convenience of CDs mean they are what I listen to most because of the fact that I still haven't settled down enough to have a decent turntable set up (but lug my vinyl albums everywhere I move and refuse to sell most of them).

Good quality Vinyl shades it for me but I'm ok with both, I think I play cd's more often and save the vinyl for days when I have no time issues.
