I am also agreement with the 1st VAN HALEN album....a true pioneering masterpiece in Rock music :bow:

The first album for me, it did actually remind me of something else (that being the first Montrose album, which was also produced by Ted Templeman) but apart from that I'd never heard a guitar sound like that before, kind of kicked you right in the stomach, and you'd swear blind the whole thing was recorded live, and in one-take, that's how immediate and energetic that album is.

Naturally the debut, but I'm showing some love for Diver Down, simply because it was the first time I heard them, and I think it's a pretty brave release with Jazz and acapella tracks.
