An overwhelming majority says Yes. But there is still a good number of people who say No. Interesting results. Thanks for voting and sharing your thoughts, people!
If there is one of my favorite bands and I have no one to go with, then I go alone because I don't want to miss it. To a band that I don't particularly like I only go if there are people to go with.
I wouldn't go to see a metal band alone. Even if it was Robert Plant or something. Too crazy. If it was somebody like James Taylor, and I was old enough to go alone, I might.
I said no because I don't think it would much fun going alone unless you're lucky and you get to sit next to some fun people. Then again it depends on what kind of music will be playing. So really, I guess it depends.
I've always enjoyed going to concerts with family and/or friends. The more the merrier. My wife and I still go when we can as we enjoy many of the same bands. We've been married 37 years and yes, there are a few of our favorite bands still limping along.
I attended a few concerts alone a long time ago for the simple reason that i couldn't find anyone who wanted to see that show. I always preferred going with other people. But back in the day when i was insane for concerts i chose to go alone rather than miss out.
I've probably been to more gigs alone than with someone in the last 10 years.
I've no issue with it. I've driven all over the country on my own for years.
I've gone to plenty of concerts alone. Seen Jeff Beck twice by myself. Peter Frampton, Robin Trower, Steve Vai... I could go on. Always meet people and discuss music. I drove from Myrtle Beach, SC to Raleigh, NC to see Fu Manchu who I recently got way into. Had a blast.
