My Mom first caught The GRAMMYs on CBS commercial last Monday when they just showed Jeff Lynne with Ed Sheeran, then I saw another one on Friday when it then said Jeff Lynne's ELO, well hopefully Questlove will now help Electric Light Orchestra get their long overdue nomination/induction when the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame + Museum Induction Ceremonies are back in Los Angeles, California for March of 2016!

Jeff Lynne's ELO will perform with Ed Sheeran Sunday as part of an all-star moment with Herbie Hancock, John Mayer and The Roots' Questlove at the 57th Grammy Awards Sunday (CBS, 8 p.m. ET/tape delayed PT).

The recently reunited ELO, which played its first full show in 28 years in London this past September, features founding members Lynne and keyboardist Richard Tandy. The appearance is likely a precursor to a new album and U.S. tour later this year.

ELO's '70s and early-'80s hits included Mr. Blue Sky, Livin' Thing, Strange Magic and Don't Bring Me Down.

The latest set of performer announcements for Sunday's telecast includes four-time nominee Sia and 20-time Latin Grammy winner Juanes. Sam Smith will duet with Mary J. Blige, and Smith's fellow new-artist nominee Brandy Clark will make her Grammy performance debut singing with Dwight Yoakam. Coldplay's Chris Martin will guest with Beck, and pianist Lang Lang will sit in on an as-yet unannounced song.

Those performers will join a Grammys lineup that already includes AC/DC; Tony Bennett with Lady Gaga; Eric Church; Common with John Legend; Ariana Grande; Hozier with Annie Lennox; Jessie J with Tom Jones; Miranda Lambert; Adam Levine with Gwen Stefani; Madonna; Rihanna with Paul McCartney and Kanye West; Usher; and Pharrell Williams.

Great news! Watched their 'Live At Hyde Park' set and was amazed by their ability to replicate their studio recordings. ELO are definitely among the best bands of the 1970's/80's.

This performance is probably going to be my favorite of the Grammy night. I think Jeff Lynne is extremely talented and out of the performers of today I actually really like Ed Sheeran.

Loved It!

It was great to see Taylor Swift and her bunch "gettin' down" to some ELO.

Ed Sheeran Performs With ELO at the Grammys | Rolling Stone

Electric Light Orchestra Delight Paul McCartney, Taylor Swift at Grammys

With Ed Sheeran, the group played "Evil Woman" and "Mr. Blue Sky," to the delight of the former Beatle, Taylor Swift, Haim and Nicole Kidman

By Kory Grow | February 8, 2015

Jeff Lynne's recently revived Electric Light Orchestra played the Grammys, indoor sunglasses and all, where they pulled out a couple of their Seventies Top 40 hits: the piano-rocking 1975 single "Evil Woman" and 1978 tune "Mr. Blue Sky." The performance took place just after Ed Sheeran's mega-collaboration, and the redhead, who was born more than two decades after ELO formed, came out to play acoustic guitar and sing on the latter song.

Paul McCartney stood up, clapped and sang along with "Evil Woman" until he was spotted by a camera and sat down. Taylor Swift and the Haim sisters danced with their arms in the air, as Nicole Kidman tried to get husband Keith Urban into dancing to "Mr. Blue Sky." Beyoncé also got into the "Blue Sky" mood, standing up to watch the show.

Sheeran came into the Grammys with three nominations: Album of the Year and Best Pop Vocal Album for X and Best Song Written for Visual Media, for his Hobbit: Desolation of Smaug contribution "I See Fire."

Regarding his nominations, Sheeran recently told Capital FM, "I think just being nominated for a Grammy, all the artists say this, but honestly, [I'm] not too fussed about winning, just because I probably won't." Pressed as to why he felt that way, he said, "I never win anything! I won one year at the BRITs because I was a male and Adele won everything else."

The singer-songwriter first reported that he would be doing a duet with Lynne and ELO on Wednesday, followed by the announcement of a "solo performance" planned with Herbie Hancock, Questlove and John Mayer. Two days later, it was announced that ELO would also be a part of the performance.

Original ELO members Jeff Lynne and Richard Tandy recently reunited and played their first full concert in 28 years last September in London, USA Today reports. The band is currently working on a new album, following up 2001's Zoom, and will be touring the U.S. later this year. The group's new material will factor into its upcoming shows, NME reports Lynne as saying at the Classic Rock Honours last year.
