^^ No, but, what the heck, I'll watch it. What we really don't need (since you asked) is another best-of album by The Who, but they've announced that one will be released to coincide with their latest farewell tour.

Slight amusement from me. When Roger forced the split in the early '80s he obviously thought he would easily conquer the world as the 'Great Roger Waters, formerly of Pink Floyd' with all this individual material he had. Guess what? Roger had a huge reality check. Not a lot of people were that interested in his 'individual material'. In the mid to late '80s he was playing to a few hundred while Dave's Roger-less Floyd were selling out arenas around the world. His success as a performer has come through re-visiting the very thing he broke up. For the last 20 years or so he has been milking The Wall for every penny he can squeeze out of it.

Does the world really need another version of The Wall?

I agree we were all really disappointed with the original film other than the odd bit of animated sequences and the music of course it was dismal.

I will wait till it shows up somewhere for free, no need to buy this one.;)

If it was re-releasing that wonky movie with Bob Geldoff? Then no, the world wouldn't need another version of The Wall. I love the album, the movie... not so much. I have some very good memories from my teenage years directly related to the movie, but it was the company that I was with that made those memories what they were, not the movie itself which pretty much was just background noise at the time.

However, from every clip that I have seen of Waters' tour and re-creation of The Wall, then YES, very much so do we need another version of the wall. Everything I have seen has been pretty damn cool. Seeing this in an IMAX theater would also be a hell of a treat. As it is, I'll be happy to own this on Blu-ray!

I couldn't have said it better! :grinthumb I was at the Wall show in Philadelphia in 2010 and it was amazing. Through out the tour more has been added to the show so its changed slightly. It would be nice to see what I missed the first time around.

I will be definitely be picking this up on Blu Ray. I have a feeling that David Gilmour's performance of Comfortably Numb will be on it as well, and that's worth the price of admission right there.

Yeah, I thought about mentioning Gilmour's surprise guest performance at that one show, but I dunno if Roger will include it in the main part of the show on the DVD or if he'll put in the Extras section.

You are right about everything here! That being said, I really like "Amused to Death" and parts of "The Pros and Cons of Hitch Hiking".

Agree 100%.

I'd be very disappointed if he didn't include it in the main feature.

Interesting reaction. I asked the question because I already have the original movie as well as the Roger Waters - The Wall Live in Berlin concert.

For the last 20 years or so he has been milking The Wall for every penny he can squeeze out of it.
Strongly agree with this statement. Roger Waters has never achieved the success of Pink Floyd since leaving them. His albums are quite dark and inaccessible to most people, whereas Pink Floyd's output maintained their high standards and are relatively easy to listen to.

Don't get me wrong, I would love to see The Wall live, but I don't think I would buy another dvd version of it. I'm going to agree with Lord Grendels sentiment on this and wait for it to be available somewhere to watch for free.
