Robert Plant says that he is "disappointed and baffled" by Jimmy Page's recent remarks regarding Plant's on-again, off-again interest in a LED ZEPPELIN reunion.

In May, Page, who was promoting the deluxe reissues of the first three ZEPPELIN albums, finally came out and blamed Plant for being the bandmember thwarting any hopes of a ZEPPELIN reunion tour. During a lengthily interview with The New York Times, Page said, "I was told last year that Robert Plant said he is doing nothing in 2014, and what do the other two guys think? Well, he knows what the other guys think. Everyone would love to play more concerts for the band. He's just playing games, and I'm fed up with it, to be honest with you. I don't sing, so I can't do much about it. It just looks so unlikely, doesn't it?"

Plant, who last month urged Page to "go to sleep and have a good rest," found himself confronted with the subject once again while speaking to Uncut magazine.

"I feel for [Page]," Plant said. "He knows he's got the headlines if he wants them. But I don't know what he's trying to do. So I feel slightly disappointed and baffled."

Plant went on to claim that he was interested in collaborating with Page again but in a slightly different format. "A couple of years ago I said, 'If you've got anything acoustic, let me know," he said. "I'll give it a whirl. It was hands across the water. He just walked away. But we couldn't do anything proper. The weight of expectation is too great."

Page has run into the same problems with Robert Plant over the years. Back in 2000, Page told The Pulse Of Radio that trying keep Plant interested in their work as a duo had finally proved futile. "And in the end, I just lost... y'know, I thought, 'I can't keep trying to motivate somebody if they just definitely don't seem to want to know.' So, at the moment, there isn't any plans to do anything with Robert."

Just leave it be. If not all the members hearts are into a reunion then it just shouldn't happen.

And also, back in th 90's when Page and Plant were doing reunion concerts, they didn't seem to have much interest in asking John Paul Jones to join.I wonder what that was all about...............

That was all about cold hard greed. Page/Plant thought they were enough to sell the tour, so why split the pot 3 ways? Page probably told Jones it was all Plant's fault.

As far as a Zeppelin reunion tour now, it sounds like Plant has a lack of confidence in his own prowess to deliver up to expectation. If he doesn't think he can do it anymore, then it probably would suck if they tried.

Of course I would go anyway! But I'm not holding my breath.

I think page should just leave plant to his solo ventures.
Page, jones and bonham should just grab another vocalist and record and tour under another name. It would be incredible.
Actually if they got David Coverdale, that would peeve Percy off a lot.
Paul Rodgers, would be my choice, his name plus the page jones and bonham would sell stadium seats. And downloads if they recorded.

Tired of the never ending cycle of this particular story, it's time to just let it be and move forward. Jimmy did a masterful job with the latest Led Zeppelin reissue of vinyl and deluxe CD sets, for me that is enough I don't need to see them reunite.

If there was anybody who could come close to doing Plant's vocal's that would be Jack Russell of Great White. Plant himself even admitted he sounded pretty dam close to Robert's Plant vocals..

I wouldn't want to see them pick someone with the aim of filling Plant's shoes, or sounding like Plant. I'd prefer they do like Audioslave and try to form something new out of the basis of the old group. That'd be much more palatable and respectful for me.

I know Plant's comment was probably half-jest, but I'd love to see Zeppelin get together and play Unplugged. Some old classics with some new material and a bunch of vintage blues. I'd probably enjoy that more than anything the group could do electrically, at this point in their career.

I get it. If it's not there it's just not there. If Plant ain't feelin it there really isn't anyone to blame.
