tough tough. there are so many i luvvv, for so many different reasons. for now, we'll go with...

Kath ... Haha ... hence therefore I asked for only 5. I want everyone to think about it, to make sure that they sift through their thoughts and lift only 5. I have a list of many many many many covers I absolutely adore, but I want the specific ones you would put above the rest. :D

Like your choice ... something completely different to mine, for starters. :D

In no particular order:

'Weird Scenes Inside The Goldmine'- The Doors
'Tomorrow'- Tomorrow
'Loaded' - The Velvet Underground
'Oddesey and Oracle'- The Zombies
'Revolver'- The Beatles

Not entirely sure how to embed pictures, but I'm sure most of you will be familiar with these covers.

Interesting choice of both covers and music for someone your age. Why specifically those ones? :grinthumb

Okay, here's my five. Very difficult to pick only five.

Pink Floyd - Animals or The Division Bell or Wish You Were Here. Any of them could count!

U2 - Achtung Baby The image is as busy, interesting and chaotic as the sound of the album itself.

Kula Shaker - K Late 60's psychedelia during the 90s!

Led Zeppelin - IV Iconic!

Kate Bush - The Sensual World Truly sensual!
Musik ... nice selection. Indeed, Pink Floyd's Animal cover is EPIC with the proverbial 'flying pig'.

Achtung Baby is too busy for me! I am a busy person by nature and having to see that and try to wrap my head around why and WHY will break me!

The Sensual World is, agreeable and probably also arguably, one of the most soft, sensual, 'innocent' covers out there.

Well, with the first cover, I have to agree, it is calm, but, I do not see all you see, or wanyone else, for that matter. That is why I am fascinated by Humanity! No 2 persons will ever experience the EXACT SAME situation in the same manner. Me, personally? I see a child sleeping on a hard'ish floor wishing for and dreaming of a bed to sleep on and in.

The rest of your covers and analysis I tend to agree with to the higher degree of variables, especially Adore by The Smashing Pumpkins. :D

I love all the Roger Dean and Rodney Matthews covers, like

but I'm not particularly a fan of the bands that have those covers. Out of my album collection these would be amongst my favourites

O'Brother - Garden Window

Mastodon - Blood Mountain

Kate Bush - The Dreaming

Nightwish - Oceanborn

I only have one album by Sonata Arctica - heck I took a chance and bought that album purely because I loved the artwork! - but all their covers appeal to me in a big way, especially this one

Hi Tray,

What an interesting and W I D E L Y spread choice!
