I know "Pepper" was '67's biggest album for you Brits with its 25 weeks at number one,but here in the states,"More of the Monkees" was Billboard's number one for that year, collecting 18 number one weeks to "Pepper's" 15.Go figure...

HI Khor..Put the notion of narrowing down this '60's album thing down to one album right out of your head. Can't be done. For the entire 60's,it's impossible to narrow things down to just one for any ONE YEAR let alone the entire decade.Too many greats too great on too many great levels.....
I was joking but I fully agree. There is just no way. I mean you can't just narrow it down to rock. There was fantastic jazz, blues, actual r&b, bluegrass, country, you name it. It is impossible to narrow it down to even a genre let alone a song but hey... I took a shot.

No. It don't work.
