This band were formed in Toronto and released their debut album in 2008, they have been touring with various bands like Ghost and were originally on the Rise above label which has spawned many a top metal band.

The band have a heavy sound with a flute and organs, my friend says they are like a heavy Jethro Tull. They are touring in the UK now and must be seen to be believed:) I am looking to catch a show soon.

I've also said this in the Jex Thoth thread elsewhere: there's been an overflow of retro rock/psychedelic/doom bands in the past few years, almost to the point where I am completely fed up with it. But there's still some I enjoy. For example Jex Thoth, Ghost, Graveyard and also Blood Ceremony. I have all their albums - prefer the first two - and I saw them live a couple of years back. They put on a great show, so definitely recommended. Calling them a heavy Jethro Tull is not too far off. I've used similar words while recommending the band to friends.

BLOOD CEREMONY have been mentioned a few times and yes they are good. The tunes you have put up Sweaty sum them up nicely. There cant be many heavy rock bands that use the flute in their material. All those bands Sharp Dressed Man mentioned I like.....guess I love a bit of retro, especially when its done well :grinthumb

Nice one Lou, it's good to see these bands making a mark, beats all the rubbish that is on the TV at the moment.

They are being supported by Spiders who are also awesome, I contacted the Manchester venue and they said they were going to squeeze a third band in on the bill...
