Aero, there are some things I really like about this. I really like the vocals, tone, phrasing and rasp in the verses. I actually don't hate the chorus. it's just typical and it's kind of anticlimactic after what precedes it. The part I don't like the most is the way the instruments sound in the production. The bass sounds like a large rubber band and it's distracting. This is pleasantly a group or pairing that I've never heard of with the potential to like. I like Hall and Oates type R&B duos so it's up my alley. Thanks for sharing an overall solid track!
Chinook winds this morning, they are howling and you can feel the house shake. These are a weird phenomenon for us, Calgary gets them a lot more often being close to the mountains but once in a while they reach us here. Some people can feel a change as the 'positive ions' wash over us. I can't say for sure if I notice or not, but it's going to be warm all day. +5 Celsius so I might be able to get the sheets of ice off our driveway and sidewalk later.
Zeppelin riffs mixed with Disco tunes & rhythms...how could you go wrong?!!?
They may miss the vocal styling of Tortelvis & the Disco beats are a bit of a change but still...It's a Dread Zeppelin album & I find it fun...Plus it's worth the 3 dollars I paid for it for the special guest vocals on "Jungle Boogie" by Dr. Paradox who actually is Screamin' Jay Hawkins!
Tortelvis did return for the next album Spicy Beanburger which was great.
Mr. Jim, that Dread Zeppelin show we seen in the late 80's/early 90's was one of the most entertaining shows I seen! It was hilarious
