I'd just like to send out a big shout for The Stables venue in Milton Keynes, having seen ASIA, UFO, NAZARETH to name 3 aging acts who played great gigs there in my opinion and also going along to AL STEWART (and i am going to his Royal Albert Hall show) to compare the acoustic(yawn) and electric.
I just think that all though it's a bit out of the way in Wavendon, MK its a really clean, tidy and friendly venue, very comfortable seats if like me you are getting tired of huge concert halls with their over priced tickets, warm overpriced beer and food and completely customer unfocused staff. Pack em in and to hell with it.
Well done to all concerned on a great night out Stables.
Also another shout to a slightly less comfortable and not quite as pleasnt venue that is G-Live in Guildford, again a bit overpriced on the drinks etc, but non theless good venue recently saw Blackmore's Night and in fact Chas and Dave, bit of a difference! One slight complaint about G-Live is they say they clamp down heavily on cameras and recording devices, but i have seen some of the staff being quite lax. But a good local venue in general, not just for rock and music shows though. There ya go, any other mentions for local and mor intimate venues that band s use in Britain? gerdundula.:woot:

The best ever musical event with a good quality of sound and effect is Broadway. Last night I was browsing on net to know what are the longest running broadway shows and came to that this 31st their is a one of the longest event in Times square. I am quite excited to go.:woot::)
