^^^ :heheh: ........ "builders' tea" Yes that's my kind of tea :grinthumb I like the smell of all those herbal and fruity teas but I don't really enjoy drinking them.

Oh talking tea I don't think I mentioned I finally managed to sample Tesco chocolate tea. I don't think it's bad and it reminds me of rice pudding for some reason, but I'd sooner have normal 'builders' tea.

I know what you mean. I bought the chocolate tea when it came out and haven't had any more since. I'm currently drinking ordinary tea.

I really don't care for herbal or fruit teas either, or the 'posh' teas like Earl Grey and Darjeeling, although when we were staying with friends in France years ago they served up a selection of fruit tisanes which I really enjoyed but I've never been able to find anything as nice as those over here in all the years since.

Is it just apples you are allergic to, Martin, or other fruit too?

Presently enjoying a mug of this

^ I've got a nut allergy which, for some reason, means I can be allergic to fruit peel. In my case it is apple peel. Equally strangely, I am not allergic to almonds, which is good because I like them. Peanuts can be tricky, because they are legumes, not nuts, but often have added nut oil. Some people can go into anaphylactic shock by eating nuts and have to carry epi-pens, but that is not the case with me - they just make my lips, mouth, throat and ears itch badly. Mostly, I can live without nuts, but often nut oil or ground hazlenuts can be added to unrelated foods.

Fairtrade tea is usually good. I once met a Ugandan farmer, who said they do benefit from people buying fairtrade items.
