Air is a duo based in Versailles France, consisting of architecture student Nicolas Godin and maths student Jean-Benoît Dunckel. They play mostly electronic music with some acoustic and classical elements. They also take influence from progressive rock and psychedelia bands including Pink Floyd and Tangerine Dream. It is always spacey, often dreamy and sometimes funky music, it's just as easy to float away on a cloud of relaxation as it is to rock out to a heady jam throughout the course of an album. They make good use of instrumentals and there's few better artists who can truly chill and relax me so much.
Since forming the band in 1995, Air have released 7 studio albums, 4 compilation and remix albums and they have written music for a handful of feature films.
The studio albums are:
Moon Safari (1998)
10,000hz Legend (2001)
City Reading with Alessandro Baricco (2003)
Talkie Walkie (2004)
Pocket Symphony (2007)
Love 2 (2009)
Le Voyage Dans La Lune (2012)
And these are some of my favourite tunes!
"La Femme D'Argent"
"Kelly Watch The Stars"
"Run"
"Talisman"
"Sing Sang Sung"
"Seven Stars (Ft. Victoria LeGrand)"
