I'm not sure I have a favourite at this time. I own 2 guitars right now. I have an Epiphone Semi Hollow Body Dot and a Fender Acoustic. I love them both but look forward to buying more in the future. If I had the money I could easily see myself owning 12 or more guitars and I'm not even really good at playing guitar haha.

Currently I have been thinking about purchasing a solid body electric. I have narrowed it down to 3 and hope to have made my final decision by Christmas!

I have played and researched all 3 of the possiblilities. The Squier Telecaster,Squier 60's Stratocaster, and the Epiphone Gold Top.

Cheers,

I have two fenders, a strat and a telecaster. I'm looking to get a jaguar and a jazzmaster hopefully soon. I also have a gibson SG and plan on getting a les paul in the future as well. Hard to say which ones I enjoy more between them.

I bought a used Martin off someone a few months ago to replace my Ibanez (kind of beat up now) and I gotta say its my favorite guitar out of all the ones I currently own, so, I went with Martin.

A Martin. Wow. I've never had the pleasure of doing anything other than testing one out in a store. I honestly can't really make much from that until I really put it through it's paces.

But they are superb instruments. I love the tone and they practically play themselves.

That is a good choice.

I'm just learning but once I get my first electric (This Christmas hopefully), I may be able the answer. My current one is a Yamaha acoustic. Pretty nice guitar. My dad's had it for 15 years but he's never played it because he never knew how.

There is no way in hell, that this guitar sounds good.

A Strat can sound good. I've heard many people make that axe sing. I personally don't really like them because of the action (neck mainly) and I can't really get much sustain out of one. But others have absolutely no problem with that.

For electrics I still like Gibsons best. But Silvertones sound and play very nice and Danelectros play real good but can't really be used for a one size fits all...

Wait? Am I grandstanding now?

I am mainly a drummer after all.
