I don't have that album yet, Garrett. Just judging from the videos..Burnin' Up is a fantastic tune, and Back in the Doghouse smokes!

I will have to be sure to add this to my list of albums to get :grinthumb

Seasick Steve is a fairly new blues-rocker. He is originally from California but has spent a good part of his younger life as a "hobo". He picked up the guitar when he was 8 years old, and taught himself to play. At age 13, he ran away from home. He would hop on freight trains and travel all over, especially in the southern part of the USA. During his travels in the south, he picked up a lot of influence from blues artists, and has played with some of the best blues artists like Janis Joplin and Joni Mitchell.

It's weird how you first hear about certain artists sometimes.

About a year ago there was a story that happened to catch my eye about a cow swimming in the Atlantic Ocean while a nearby music festival was going on and this comment was the explanation:

Mr Dymond reckons the animal was startled by noise from the event, takes place once a year and was headlined by Seasick Steve and the King Blues.

So I got curious about Seasick Steve and looked him up! Yes, that's some good and interesting music! :grinthumb

Oh he's so good!
Saw him, hmm a good 2 weeks ago now on a festival in Belgium. He was really good. In one song he was telling how he, as a kid, had an abusive stepdad who came back from Korea, and he almost shot him, but then he decided to run away.. I think he must have had a really hard life :(

I saw him on Top Gear UK. Like others have said, a real character.

He had a "guitar" he'd made out of an old Morris Marina hubcap (or two) and he made it sound good.
