I have great memories from the 'Monsters Of Rock', Slade were just awesome and the crowd went ballistic when they played 'mama weer all crazee now',

Another great open air gig I saw them at was something called 'The Wolverhampton Fiesta' (I think) probably around '80/'81...Slade nailed it and also on the bill were Eric Bell and Diamond Head plus others I can't remember.

Noddy is/was just the perfect frontman to get the crowd going..."had an ale have ya"

Sabs.

I am going to state the obvious now and I would think I would have universal agreement on here but when you look back at some of the classic Rock Groups - Slade - Thin Lizzy - Quo we are still talking about them and the great shows we all went to see and the music made by them we loved and still do but just look at the modern crap it is artificial manufactured and the moronic teenagers of today just walk like zombies listening to the crap on their iphones etc :wank:.

Will there be forums where in 20 years time they will be talking about Titchy Strider, Jayzee or any of the other plastic crap :pullhair:which is served up to the youffs?????

I don't think so when was the last time you heard about one of these throwing a TV out of a Hotel window or driving a Rolls Royce into a swimming pool???????

I think music is dieing and that is why we cling to the memories given to us by the likes of Noddy, Townsend, Lynott, Coverdale and Ozzy.

Sorry Rant over! :cheers2

To be honest guy's i've never heard the albums OLD NEW BORROWED & BLUE and SLAYED in full although i've heard all the single releases from that era.

I must admit apart from liking the SLADE IN FLAME album the other Slade album that i really like is the PLAY IT LOUD album from 1970 a fairly solid rock album in my humble opinion every track feeds nicely into the next track a very enjoyable listen from start to finish.
