This just hit the internet. Supposed to be a rare early (early 80's) recording of Axl Rose in a band called Rapidfire

The ONLY way you could get me to go see The Axl Rose Band is if you gave me a free ticket AND paid for the ride there and home. Seriously, this current band isn't GnR and hasn't been for 15+ years. Loved GnR circa '1986-1996', but after that, it's nothing more than a memory.

Bout sums it up. I would be sooooo jacked if the boys could kiss and make up, even if it was just for their financial gain, which would be huge.

I just watched Duff's Loaded " The Taking" on youtube. It's a clever way to promote his new album. It's about 11 episodes long. Has cameos from a few other Rock n' Rollers. Check it out if you haven't already....

I would rather a band have a genuine reunion than it be solely based on money.

I guess I'm selfish. I couldn't give two shits if they were buddies while playing. As long as they were in the pocket I'd consider it money well spent.

New Guns N’ Roses Song Surfaces

A new Guns N’ Roses song has unexpectedly shown up online. Not much is known about the track, which is called ‘Going Down.’

According to Metal Insider, the song recently leaked, but nobody is sure if it’s a newly recorded cut or an older track that’s now seeing the light of day. Guitarist Ron “Bumblefoot” Thal tweeted that the song is indeed official GNR, but his post has since been deleted.

One thing is clear, the midtempo track features bassist Tommy Stinson (who used to be in bratty ’80s punks the Replacements) on lead vocals, with Axl Rose chiming in as backup singer from time to time.

Update: Unfortunately, the various posts featuring ‘Going Down’ have since been deleted, so you’re outta luck if you didn’t get to hear the song before it was pulled.
