Where the hell's Foghat's version of I Just Wanna Make Love to You? One of the best covers of all time IMO!

Bear in my the list was made by the Planet Rock radio listeners by voting, not a bunch of people.

Planet popamole. At least Watchtower is up there as it deserves to be. But some of the omissions are almost worse than some of the entries.

With lovers, buggers, & thieves.
There a several I would have liked to see make it on a "top" list:

Santana's Black Magic Woman
Clapton's Cocaine
CCR's I Heard it Through the Grapevine

I was wondering myself why Black Magic Woman wasn't on the list.

True, Nololob. Which means Planet Rock might be responsible for the bias. Judging from the list, I could take an educated guess at what gets played frequently on their radio.

^^I think that's one of the worst covers, even though I'm not a big Dylan fan his original is way better than G'nR's cover.

I like their cover well enough but I think the version from their "Live Era" album is better ten fold. I'm sure that wasn't the version that was voted for though.

Dreams I'll Never See by Molly Hatchet wasn't listed, nor did I expect it. It possibly deserves a top 35 spot.

Actually they do play a good variety and don't just keep regurgitating what's thought to be popular or just radio-friendly crap, like a lot of radio stations do. I've also discovered some quality new bands through Planet Rock. But there's no accounting for the taste of listeners is there - I reckon most of 'em were on the toots or shrooms when they voted :heheh:
