I really like Chad Smith & am more influenced by him as a Drummer, but Phil Collins is/was just the best of the best. Amazing Drumming & a great voice (in the forefront) is something rarely found in most music. Right now I can only think of Don Henley as the other 1 fitting that job. Don Henley's great too, but I still prefer the others I already mentioned.

Considering all of that, even Chad Smith is/was most likely influenced in some way by Phil Collins & I'd imagine he'd be quite amazed if he ever met Phil. Phil Collins was also the key part of 1 of the best 3 piece bands ever out there in Genesis. He was good wherever he was at & is clearly more influential over a wider variety of styles. Chad Smith's great, but he's only influential within the Rock Genres of music, particularly Funk. He's still 1 of my favorite Drummers.

Closing it out though, Phil Collins is clearly the Top Drumming pick in this Poll. Period!
