IMO Their best over all album is Defenders of The Faith but the best song imo is Electric Eye and especially with the intro or instrumental before it The Hellion is the bands best song. It is one of their fastest, heaviest, and even "thrashiest" yet has a good smooth groove for a better lack of a description along with very tight musicianship and a great production quality. It has time changes yet are smooth along with Halfords better vocal attempts as he changes his range very nicely with the time changes. A very well rounded song that is very very hard to beat imho.

There are a lot of tunes from Point of Entry, and I definitely love that album, but no Desert Plains or Solar Angels... Desert Plains may be my favorite Priest song...I believe I'll go with Devil's Child (killer song!) with Heading Out to the Highway as my second choice.

Hell Bent for Leather, my favorite Priest album as well.(Why they changed the name to Killing Machine baffles me, sure wish I still had my first vinyl copy of this record.)

HBFL is a delete now. You can only get Killing Machine. I went to order a new CD to replace my ancient one. The guy told me it was a delete. I was about to walk away when I asked about Killing Machine. The guy didn't have a clue. Anyways. I picked it up the other day.

And I don't think they changed the name to Killing Machine. It was released in Europe as Killing Machine and as HBFL here. "The US branch of Columbia/CBS did not like the 'murderous implications' of the album title."

^^I bought a new CD a few years ago, and asked the clerk about it and he had no idea why the name was different.

MFSL is releasing it on 180 gram vinyl this year, I've pre-ordered a copy but it's called Killing Machine.

I think Hell Bent...is a better title.
