So which one is better? Kenny Loggins and Michael McDonald co-wrote What A Fool Believes,but Loggins had it on his Nightwatch album five months before The Doobie Brothers had it on Minute By Minute

As far as covers go, I do like Springsteen's original of "Spirits in the Night" better.

I'd have to say I like the Doobies recording.


BTW, I didn't know they co-wrote that song together.

Although on Springsteen's "Live in Dublin" version of this song is pretty cool

The Doobie Brothers version is absolute perfection.

Jimi nails Dylan's "All Along The Watchtower"


And his cover of "Hey Joe" leaves the rest in the shadows for my money.

Hendrix's rendition of "Hey Joe" is the easy choice but I think Roy Buchanan's version is best by a million miles.
