First four rock CDs I bought were Led Zeppelin -- ZoSo, The Best of the Doors (two disc version), Pink Floyd -- Wish You Were Here, and.... Journey -- Infinity. Zep, Floyd, and The Doors were my favorite bands throughout that era.

At age one I was dancing in the crib to the Beatles according to Mom.
The early years were Beatles, The Who and The Stones.
Next would be the Woodstock bands, Simon & Garfunkel and David Bowie
By 74 Pink Floyd and anything on WNEW and plenty more.

I started noticing music probably around the age of 5 back in 1963, just before The Beatles hit America. I had three older brothers and an older sister, and they all listened to rock and roll and had big record collections, and I listened to all of them and fell in love with rock and roll at a very early age. The Beatles, The Beach Boys, The Monkees, The Doors etc...

I listened to AM radio a lot back in the 1960's/70's and absorbed all of the great rock and roll being played.

This is typical of my very early favorite songs that I played a lot as a very young kid...

What I remember is The Beatles through my dad. After that I listened a lot to a Dutch radio station called Veronica. Loved the music they played like Alice Cooper, Slade and Sweet.

Captain Beefheart, Frank Zappa, Jethro Tull and a lot of Blues especially Howlin Wolf, was what I started listening to from a young age through my Dad, then he introduced me to Led Zeppelin and Ozzy Osbourne at about 9 or 10 and thats when I started to listen to that kind of music as well.

Most of what I listened to back in the day was the hardest of hard rock. It was all about the fastest guitarists and gnarliest songs. Alice Cooper, Guns N' Roses, Ozzy, Metallica, Megadeth, Motley Crue, AC/DC, and beyond.

I've mellowed out a bit since those days. :p

I started with The Beatles and Stones (in mother's womb) and Queen and Scorpions in elementary school.
