Great piece of nostalgia. The woman around the 14 minute mark really seemed to be having a good time.

Good on her I hope when I'm round about 60 years old I can look back on such good memories.

Hi. As a lad, I taped the 1 April 1971 BBC show off the radio and it's what I listened to for many years. When I got the 'BBC Sessions' CD, I really missed the between-song chat. I now have the Empress Valley CD called 'The Complete BBC Radio Sessions' and it certainly seems to be complete bar one thing: on my old cassette tape, Robert Plant finishes Whole Lotta Love with “Thank you. I'm afraid that's all we've got time for this week, folks. The man next week, Ted Ray. Ted Ray next week.”

On the Empress Valley CD, we hear “...this week, folks” but no mention of Ted Ray even though the sound of the audience continues (and it's definitely not a 'fade-out').

Does anyone know what I'm talking about and can maybe offer an explanation?

I am aware of Plant making those comments at the end of the show. The emcee afterwards refutes it saying that Ted Ray isn't coming on the following week. There's so many versions it is a chore to figure out which is the most complete.

I hope that cassette tape of your is still in good shape and playable.

LED ZEPPELIN Honored At Germany's ECHO Awards - Mar. 22, 2013

LED ZEPPELIN received the inaugural International Lifetime Achievement Award last night (Thursday, March 21) at the ECHO awards in Berlin, Germany.

Guitarist Jimmy Page and bassist John Paul Jones accepted the award on behalf of the band. Singer Robert Plant was unable to attend the event since he had a concert scheduled the same night in Singapore.

"As long as we can be an inspiration, either as a group or individually or whatever… I mean, as far as I'm concerned, that's my lifetime achievement: that people will be inspired by the music," said Page.

The New York Times reported earlier in the month that LED ZEPPELIN is in negotiations with a number of subscription music services — including Spotify, Rdio and Rhapsody — for the exclusive right to stream the band's catalog.

ZEPPELIN has sold more than 111 million albums in the United States, including 840,000 in 2012.

The band waited until 2007 to make its albums available through iTunes.

LED ZEPPELIN's concert film, "Celebration Day", which is available on CD, DVD, and Blu-ray disc, sold 101,000 copies in the United States in its first week of release to land at position No. 9 on The Billboard 200 chart. The package arrived in stores on November 19, 2012 via Swan Song/Atlantic Records.
