Be sure to listen to Rusted Angel, their first one. And the song Frenetic Visions. I'll be very surprised if you don't like that one and in fact the whole album.

Nightfall is awesome, nice suggestion DKW.
Anyway I am after more modern thrash bands, I love my 1980s thrash bands but wondering what of the more modern era would be good to give a listen to?

Vektor, Warbringer, Suicidal Angels, Skeletonwitch, Witchery, Bestial Mockery...
off the top of my head those are my favorite newer era thrash bands.

Around the time of the first Egyptian riots, Sirius Liquid Metal was running a "mid-east & mediterranean metal" themed show.

I remember they played Wyvern (Egypt) & Sawlegen (Morocco)

Not sure if this track was played.

They definitely played this track. I did find the album as a downloadable file somewhere, though I'd prefer a CD.

Saxon generally seem to receive more appreciation for their studio work than live albums. I took a punt on this a few years back because it was cheap in my local HMV. Classic line-up in full flight when they could do no wrong. Phenomenal.

Lets not forget Havok there :) & Vektor and Suicidal Angels kick some major ass!

Blood Tsunami
I liked them when I heard just one track of them, when I finally happened to check the album, it was too generic and boring for later listens actually :uh:, well, I first checked them out due to Faust, the man has some serious talent on the skins.
